I've heard people say that in order to get the best AI output you should be polite to it like please and thank you and I couldn't disagree more although I understand where that comes from. I've been in nepal now and I realised that the way of speaking in nepali is quite direct especially when non English speakers translate quite directly somethinglike give me water or and it can be seen as as rude and brusque but actually it's very efficient and because it doesn't need that underlying baggage and so what I would say as a a friendly amendment, although I am being too polite myself what I would say as a corollary to that is that when interacting with a I respect it's it's coauthor me here you wouldn't be asking questions if you knew the answers so um instead of giving it directives tell it your perspective as your own rather than assume that you can just bossing around that is different than saying please or thank you because it doesn't need to be polite should be direct. If you if you want flowery language then you're gonna get flowery language back if you use flowery language and if you couch your requests in a bunch of euphemism and politeness well then the AI might not actually give you the answer you think it's just going to mimicYour own tones and tell you something if you re trying to make a hard decision and you dance around it with a I welt a I eventually going to dance around that with you its not gonna tell you right away No you're wrong it's going to Mirror your tone. Do you want to be polite or do you want to be informed?.
