**Project Code:** `AUTX-METH`
**Project Title:** Methodology for Investigating Novel Scientific Predictions from Autaxys/Autology
**1. Introduction:**
This project addresses the critical need for a robust and coherent methodology to guide the investigation of novel scientific predictions derived from the autaxys/autology framework. Given that autaxys proposes a fundamental shift in ontological and epistemological assumptions, conventional scientific methodologies may require adaptation or augmentation to effectively explore its implications.
**2. Project Goals:**
* To define a clear set of principles and protocols for generating, evaluating, and prioritizing research questions and predictions arising from autaxys.
* To develop criteria for assessing the theoretical coherence and potential empirical testability of autaxic predictions.
* To outline strategies for bridging abstract autaxic concepts with potential experimental or observational signatures.
* To address the challenges of investigating phenomena that may not fit neatly into existing experimental paradigms or theoretical frameworks (e.g., "ahead of the curve" predictions, phenomena requiring new detection methods).
* To establish guidelines for interdisciplinary collaboration, integrating insights from physics, philosophy of science, mathematics, and potentially contemplative studies, as relevant to autology.
**3. Scope:**
* Review and critique existing scientific methodologies in the context of fundamental theoretical innovation.
* Formulate core autological research principles (e.g., emphasis on generative mechanisms, coherence with autaxys's meta-logic, parsimony).
* Develop a "Prediction Evaluation and Archiving Protocol" (PEAP) specifically for autaxic claims, considering different levels of theoretical maturity and empirical accessibility.
* Define approaches for conceptual modeling, simulation, and eventual experimental design relevant to autaxys.
* Consider the role of falsifiability and confirmability for a foundational framework like autaxys.
**4. Expected Outcomes:**
* A documented methodological framework for autological research.
* A set of guidelines for researchers working within the autaxys paradigm.
* A clearer pathway for translating autaxic theory into testable scientific inquiry.
**5. Relation to Other AUTX Project Ideas:**
This AUTX-METH project is foundational and will inform the approach taken in AUTX-I1 (Infoton Re-evaluation) and AUTX-TAB (Autaxic Table Conceptual Framework), as well as any future investigations of autaxic predictions.
